Acupuncture can be administered as either IMS (Intramuscular stimulation) or as traditional acupuncture. IMS is used as a quick treatment strategy to reduce excessive muscular tension by working on the muscular trigger points. Traditional acupuncture it’s a less aggressive form of acupuncture, which can be utilised to reduce pain and improve blood supply to the affected injured tissue and thus speeding the recovery rate.
